The system Prescription Manager is highly comprehensive.  Physicians can issue prescriptions directly from the patient’s record in e-Medsys EHR and have it transmitted directly to the patient’s pharmacy.  At the same time, medications prescribed are retained in the patient’s record, and issuing refills is a snap.

Medications are prescribed based on formularies, and the system also alerts on allergies, interactions and expirations.

Then, identifying groups of patients by medication is incredibly easy, should that be needed.

Ordering lab tests is done using similarly simplified mechanics:  directly through the patient’s e-Medsys EHR record, the physician can order lab tests via our integration with several major labs.  The orders become part of the patient’s record, and the results are transmitted from the lab directly back into the patient’s e-Medsys EHR record, totally automating this normally tedious process.

The practice is alerted as results come back, with special notations on abnormalities.

The system’s built-in Health Watcher ensures that patients who need follow up treatment based on their medical condition are identified and alerted.   The practice is also alerted to patients requiring follow up care.
